Hey guys 🙂
Little bit late to the game , but here’s some of my beauty related favorites of January that I thought I’d share… enjoy , let me know what you think ! Please leave a comment if you want any more info on any of the products…
Starting with a couple of the skincare products I’ve been loving , the Nivea Micellar Cleansing Water is by far the best product I’ve used for removing makeup , I tend to use it again once I’ve exfoliated and cleansed etc. as it leaves your skin looking and feeling soft , and gives that fresh, clean feeling to your skin , I’d recommend using this along with other Nivea products for the best results. As you can see in the picture I’ve pretty much reached the end of the bottle so I definitely think anyone that tries this will love it as much as I do.
Another Skincare related product I’ve been absolutely loving is the Nivea Primer , I’ve only managed to get my hands on this recently as every time I went to buy it , it was sold out ! This works as a moisturizer , leaving your skin feeling hydrated , and also as a primer for underneath your make up. This is definitely the primer I would recommend for anyone that tends to get dry patches whenever they wear foundation , as whenever I’ve used this under my make up , I’ve had very little or no dryness at all.
For lip care , this combo has been amazing. If, like me, you love really sweet smells and tastes, then definitely try these. If not, then I would still recommend trying these, but in different flavors , I also love the minty flavored lip scrub. If you tend to get dry lips, especially in the cold weather, these will also be a life saver for your lips. The lip scrub is a very sweet, bubblegum, sugary taste, and leaves your lips feeling so soft, and gets rid of any of the dry skin. I’d highly recommend using the lip balm immediately after, to leave your lips feeling really soft and hydrated. What I love about the lip balm is that a tiny little bit goes a long way, and it isn’t really sticky like some lip balms tend to be.
And now onto the make up…
If you’re looking for a cheaper foundation, this one from Flormar is the one to go for if you prefer a matte finish. I’ve only discovered this brand about 2 months ago when my local pharmacy started stocking them. And since I’ve tried it, I’ve repurchased, and it’s almost become my go to every day foundation. For only €10, this foundation lasts all day, and even though it has a matte finish, it doesn’t leave dry patches on your skin, and I’ve found that it blends really well into the skin and doesn’t cake onto your skin, it’s medium coverage so when needed, it can easily be built up on a bad skin day.
Another brand I’ve only recently discovered is Gerard Cosmetics, which unfortunately the only downfall is we don’t stock them here in Ireland, so if you want to try them, your best bet is beautybay.com. I’ve been absolutely loving the Hydra Matte Liquid Lipsticks, I bought 3 of them together, and my favorite has been the shade Serenity, which is a gorgeous nude, peachy pink shade. I’ve been loving this along with the Mac Lipliner in the shade Morning Coffee, which is a darker, brown nude shade. These together create a fab ombre look. I was very surprised when I used the liquid lipsticks as they don’y dry out your lips at all and are very long lasting, I’ve eaten and drank while wearing it, and it didn’t need to be touched up at all, so I’d highly recommend these, and they’re very reasonably priced too, and the Gerard Cosmetics website do some bundle deals on them al lot too, so definitely check them out.
For my every day lipstick, the Mac lipstick in the shade Brave has been my favorite, it’s a very natural, nude pink with a matte finish, and can be turned into a darker going out look if you use it with the lip liner in the shade Spice or Morning Coffee.
For my eyebrows, I’ve only recently bought this, also from beautybay.com. I’ve been hearing great things about this product, and it also has 5 star rating on the website. And it’s the Brow Definer from Anastasia Beverly Hills. I can’t express how much I love this product! It has made doing my eyebrows so much easier, as the tiny little angled pen makes it so much easier and quicker to fill in your eyebrows, even making it possible to do tiny little hair strokes. It also comes with an eyebrow brush on the other end, which is a lifesaver, cause I’m always loosing mine at the bottom of my make up bag. Everyone needs this in their make up collection, and it comes in so many different shades, just an all over amazing product.
So that’s just a few of my favorites of January, I hope you all enjoyed reading. Let me know in the comments or on twitter @CallMeLauraaaa if you want any more info on any of the products (where I got them, how much etc.) or if you’ve tried them yourself and your opinion on them.
Thanks so much for reading 🙂
See you soon,
