Everyday Makeup Routine – Autumn

Hi lovelies !

So Autumn is finally here , my favourite time of the year ! So I thought it was only fair I do my first Autumn – themed post. I live for the Autumn months for the make up looks this time of the year, I live for them! So since it’s my favourite time of year for make up, I’m gonna talk you fellow makeup lovers through my everyday Autumn makeup look… enjoy!

Lets start with the base, this was in my favourites a while back and it’s still my favourite primer, it’s the Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer . This comes in 2 versions, one for normal type skin, and one for sensitive skin, which is the one I have. I love the fact that it’s not a really thick primer, but more like a cream, and if you’re like me and love the matte finish foundations, this will be your life saver, because it keeps your skin hydrated underneath. No more dry patches!

This time of year I tend to need a little more coverage, so I’ve been mixing the Estée Lauder Double Wear Light Foundation and the L’Oreal Paris Infallible 24H Matte Foundation together, and the coverage pay off is just dreamy!

Then I go in on the areas I need that little bit more coverage, for me particularly my chin, nose area, and to brighten the under eye area with my go to concealer, the Maybeliene Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer  in the lightest shade, Ivory.

I then set these with the MAC Mineralize Skinfinish . You can tell by the picture that it’s my go to powder because I’m nearly out! I love it but I’ve been using it for so long now I’m thinking of changing it up… so if anyone can recommend any powder / translucent powder, feel free to leave a little comment,  thanks so much!

For contour and highlight I use the Sleek Face Form Palette in the shade light, it’s been my go to since I got it a few weeks ago, I’m in love! I love the cool tone of the contour shade for this time of year, and the pigmentation of the highlight is insane!

For blush and bronzer I use the Benefit Cheekathon Palette. I use the Hoola Bronzer over the contour and on my temples and along the jawline and chin area. And the blush shade I use this time of year is Coralista, it compliments red and berry toned lipsticks beautifully so it’s the perfect Autumn/Winter blush.

For the eyebbrows, I fill them in with the Laura Mercier Eyebrow Pencil in the shade Soft Brunette. And then brush them out with the little brush on the other end of the pencil.

For the eyes, I love bronze/orange/gold toned shadows time of year. I mainly use the Makeup Geek x Manny MUA Palette. My go to shades in this are the orangey shade, Sora in the crease, the light brown shade, Frappe in the outer half of the crease, and the dark brown shade, Aphrodite in the very outer corner. I then put the second lightest shade, Beaches And Cream all over the lid and blend blend blend. Finally, I use the lightest shade, Artemis on the very inner corner to highlight. I finish off the eyes with the Maybeliene Lash Snesational Mascara , one of my make up must haves!

And now for my favourite part to complete the look, the lips! On a very casual day, for example going to work, I’ll go for a nude lip. But on weekends or days I’m not in work, I’ll go for a berry toned lip, to die for at this time of year! The lipstick I always reach for has been my Autumn/Winter essential since I got it last year. It’s Vamp by Fuschia . No words for how beautiful this lipstick is!

Finally, I finish the look by setting the whole face with the Urban Decay De-Slick Oil Control Setting Spray , another absolutely must have in your make up collection , this stuff is ah-mazing!

I’ve never really bothered with primers before, but keeping my skin hydrated at this time of year is a nightmare, so think I’ll try the Nivea primer – thanks!

Oh I absolutely love the finished look! I tend to be fresh faced in Autumn but I do want to find a bolder/darker lip so I can be all “I’m here Autumn!!”
